A 40 year old Bedford man is facing charges for stunting after being caught going more than double the speed limit.
RCMP say he’ll be facing a fine of over $2,400, he had his license suspended and his vehicle was seized.
Yesterday, just after noon, it stopped the vehicle on the 102 driving 206 km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.

The National Lacrosse League is coming to Scotiabank Centre in the 2019-20 season.
The current owner and general manager of the Rochester Knighthawks applied to relocate his team and received approval.
The Halifax team will begin play with many players from the current Knighthawks’ roster.
The season will include nine regular season home games, plus pre-season and playoff games.
The team’s full roster will stay intact for 2018-19 season, continuing to play out of Blue Cross Arena in Rochester.
The first game in Halifax, under a new team name, will be played at Scotiabank Centre in December 2019.

There’s over a 3% increase in vehicle/pedestrian collisions during the first 7 months of the year compared to last year.
Halifax Regional Police say in total there’s been 126 vehicle/pedestrian/bicycle collisions.
Halifax Regional Police say 27 involved a bicycle, 99 were vehicle/pedestrian with 106 pedestrian victims.
It say 11 vehicle/pedestrian collisions were reported in July which is 3 more than in May, but the same number as July 2017.

RCMP continue to remind you to slow down after RCMP issued over 460 speeding tickets in August.
It says in total it issued over 850.
Police says over 15 drivers or passengers got tickets for not wearing a seatbelt,  over 20 for using a cell and 55 for driving without a valid license.
It says over 230 were charged with offences under the Motor Vehicle Act, almost 60 for aggressive driving and 4 for other charges.

Gas is down this morning – by a lot!
The Utility and Review Board used its weekly price adjustment to lower regular self-serve by 4.2 cents/L to $1.22.2/L.
Diesel prices dropped by a half-cent to $1.26.6/L.
One year ago, drivers were paying $1.23/L for gasoline and $1.06/L for diesel.
